Here are some photos of several of my vintage fabric pieces. I have collected thousands of scraps, small pieces and swatches, and I’d like to document some of these patterns before they get sewn into quilts. If you click on the thumbnails, the enlarged photo represents a rectangle about 2 1/2″ x 1 1/2″. My plan is to photograph the prints and also create a small gallery on my blog every couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy them.
I’m in love! 🙂 Thanks for sharing these little charmers.
Love these fabrics. I have a small collection of 30’s fabrics, but not many greens.
My FAVORITE – I love these little prints so much! Thank you for sharing them!
Those are great! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a golf themed fabric before.
Also, I keep forgetting to mention how much I enjoy your quilt slideshow in the sidebar. You have made some wonderful quilts!
Aww… they are all dripping with cuteness! Love your idea of cataloging the prints. I’ll look forward to more of your lovely posts on them 🙂
Oh, the elephants! And the flowers! And the dots! They are so charming! I would probably be tempted to just sew them together so as not to cut off any of the prints!
I knew Jan would love the elephants!
What a great idea to create a vintage fabric gallery! Thanks!
The top left, with the little Scottie Dog and children. A friend gave me an unfinished top and that print is in a nine-patch. Mine is a yellow color but the same. I’m going to applique Scottie Dogs in the corners and hand quilt Scottie’s in the border. Such fun to find the same print. There is a other print in the top that I can’t identify. If I had a way to send you a photo I bet you’ll know. The top is nine-patches and the fabric I can’t identify is the alternate block. I have a feeling this fabric is added later as it doesn’t look like 1930. I get a hunch it could be a kitchen fabric or repurposed from something.
