I was going to add lots more of these today, but it took longer than expected to scan and clean them up. The pages are so dark and many have stains and mildew on them.
It’s my spring break starting today — I am looking forward to a week of enjoyable embroidery and quilting.
You (and my sister) are knocking me over with the cuteness of these old books. I do NOT, repeat, DO NOT need another craft skill…but you two are tempting me beyond belief!
PS….don’t tell Jan!
I don’t know what method you use to clean up your scans, but I use a technique that works great – in less than a minute. I’ll share if you’re interested.
So cute! I joined the group as well. I know I have some old colouring books around here that I can scan in and clean up — some have already been coloured in by Brother and myself but I think I can clean them up well enough to post.
Hi Becky, Cindy & Bunny — I’m glad you like these little Cecile Lamb illustrations as much as I do. I’ll post more soon. I’ve located a couple of other CL coloring books, but surprisingly, they’re all religious — not something I want to put on a quilt.
Becky–Come on, girl — you can add one more skill to your plate….OR….we could work out a trade?? Don’t tell Jan!
Cindy–Thanks so much for the great tip on cleaning up my scans — it really works well.
Bunny–I’m excited to see your old coloring books — I’m guessing you weren’t a “stay in the lines” kind of kid like I was.
