Charley Harper Water Drop Quilt – 11 Organisms

Posted on April 8, 2011November 11, 2011 by Martha

One-third of the designs are done. This is such a fun project that I really don’t want to stop. I’m behind on the wedding napkins, though, and I promised myself I would spend at least one whole day of my spring break working on them.

Those are FANTASTIC! Your satin stitch is SOOOO smooth! Does it just take practice or do you have a tip? Also, I love your use of the chain stitch. If ONLY my Biology textbook would have had quilted illustrations…

I am loving watching this come to life, Martha. Interesting about the glue….I love using fusible, but I use the leather dot thimbles and also office finger cots on my index finger to pull the needle through. It helps a lot – I’ve taken to using them for my hand quilting too. Your stitching on this is just perfect!
